Warranty Conditions

1. Scope of Application

These warranty conditions apply to BoxDesign products made from high-quality HPL compact panels (High Pressure Laminate) and designed for permanent outdoor use.

2. Guarantor

The guarantor is the respective manufacturer or distributor of the products. The warranty applies exclusively to products that are used for their intended purpose and in accordance with the assembly, care, and usage instructions.

3. Warranty Period

The guarantor provides a warranty of 5 years from the date of purchase exclusively for material and manufacturing defects of the HPL compact panels used and the load-bearing structure made from them.
The purchase receipt is decisive.

4. Scope of Warranty (HPL Compact Panels)

The warranty refers exclusively to the material and surface properties of the HPL compact panels used.

Material properties of HPL compact panels:

  • durable and environmentally friendly
  • extremely shock-resistant
  • heat and moisture resistant
  • antistatic
  • self-supporting and extremely bend-resistant
  • engravable and usable without edge sealing
  • manufactured from large format panels that are economical in terms of waste

Surface properties of HPL compact panels:

  • abrasion and scratch-resistant
  • hygienic and food-safe
  • antibacterial and easy to clean
  • UV and lightfast (UV stability for a period of 5 years)
  • chemically resistant to many common household substances
  • available in numerous design and decor options
The warranty specifically covers:
  • structural material damage to HPL compact panels
  • unacceptable deformation of HPL panels under intended use
  • delamination or material failure of the HPL surface

5. UV Resistance and Weather Influences (HPL)

The HPL compact panels of the products are designed for year-round outdoor use and have a UV stability of 5 years.
Minor optical changes due to long-term, extreme weather influences (e.g., intensive sunlight, environmental or air influences) do not constitute a defect, as long as the function and structural stability of the HPL panels are not impaired.

6. Exclusions from the Warranty

Expressly excluded from the warranty are:
  • normal wear and tear and age-related signs of use
  • optical changes that do not impair usability
  • damage due to improper assembly, transport, or storage

    • hinges

    • gas springs
    • handles
    • seals
    • fasteners
    • other movable or mechanical components
For these parts, there is no guarantee of UV resistance, color, or material stability, unless otherwise expressly agreed upon in writing.

7. Warranty Service

In the event of a warranty claim, the guarantor will decide at its own discretion on:
  • repair of the defective HPL component,
  • replacement of the product or individual HPL components,
  • or an appropriate substitute delivery.
Further claims, in particular for damages or compensation for consequential damages, are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

8. Processing of a Warranty Claim

A warranty claim must be reported in writing immediately after the defect is discovered. The warranty request must be accompanied by:
  • proof of purchase
  • product designation
  • description of the defect
  • meaningful photos

9. Relationship to Statutory Warranty

This warranty exists independently of statutory warranty rights. The buyer's statutory rights are not restricted by this warranty.
